USD 40 Million Facility Supports Expansion of Velana International Airport

We are pleased to have acted as Transaction Counsel in relation to a USD 40,000,000 syndicated term loan facility by Hatton National Bank PLC, Nations Trust Bank PLC and Habib Bank Limited (Maldives) as the lenders and Hatton National Bank PLC as the Facility Agent to Maldives Airports Company Limited.

The proceeds of the facility will be utilised to refinance the constcruction and development of a state-of-the-art passenger terminal at Velana International Airport, a project aimed at significantly enhancing the airport’s passenger handling capacity.

We congratulate NDB Investment Bank Limited for acting as the Arranger and Financial Advisors to the transaction and SHC Law & Tax LLP, Maldives for their contribution to the successful completion of this financing.
