The insolvency and restructure practice group of the firm advises local as well foreign clients on strategies and mechanisms to be adopted to address and remedy insolvency situations that arise in their businesses and also on the implementation of corporate restructures to rationalize and streamline capital and management structures of companies and groups (including those that have subsidiaries outside Sri Lanka) with a view to achieving various corporate objectives.
The services provided by the insolvency and restructuring practice group include advising on compliances under the applicable legal framework in the event of insolvency and capital adequacy issues; reorganizations, arrangements and other restructures of companies and groups including on capital restructures and management restructures; compromises with creditors and administrations; mergers and amalgamations of companies; dissolution of companies and other businesses through winding up and other means.
